Strengthening Academia–Industry Collaboration: Proposed MoU with Rajagiri College of Social Sciences
As part of our continued commitment to fostering research, innovation, and academic collaboration, discussions are underway to formalize a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Rajagiri College of Social Sciences.
The proposed collaboration stems from interactions with two researchers at Rajagiri College who have expressed a strong interest in developing probiotics in niche segments. The researchers are keen to work closely with us to conduct lab-scale trials at their facility, combining academic expertise with industry-driven application and validation.
This initiative aligns well with our Social objectives, particularly our focus on promoting research activities within colleges and institutions in our vicinity. By enabling hands-on research exposure, shared infrastructure, and scientific mentoring, the collaboration aims to support capacity building and innovation in applied life sciences.
As part of the next steps, an internal feasibility assessment is being initiated to evaluate the scope, infrastructure requirements, and potential outcomes of including this collaboration under our CSR framework. Inputs from the college regarding laboratory capabilities, regulatory considerations, and research expectations will also be reviewed to ensure a structured and mutually beneficial engagement.
An MoU draft outlining the proposed areas of collaboration has been circulated internally for review. Stakeholders are requested to share their feedback and suggestions, based on which refinements will be made before moving forward.
This proposed partnership represents an important step toward bridging academic research and industry expertise, while reinforcing our commitment to supporting meaningful, community-centric research initiatives.
