Top Nutraceutical Ingredients Singapore 2026

Biohacked Wellness: Top Nutraceutical Ingredients 2026 -Shaping Health Conscious Consumers Singapore’s wellness evolution is shifting fast — and it’s data‑driven, preventive, and deeply personalized. As wearables, biosensors, and functional foods go mainstream, 2026 will redefine how Singaporeans think about health. The focus is clear: optimize, not just survive. Consistent Sleep Tracking & Optimization. The Trend: It’s no longer about just getting 8 hours. The focus is on sleep quality—tracking sleep stages (Deep, REM, Light), resting heart rate, and Heart Rate Variability (HRV) using wearables like Oura Rings, Garmin watches, and Apple Watches. Why in Singapore? The “always-on” work culture and high stress levels lead to widespread sleep deprivation. Quantifying sleep provides tangible data to justify winding down earlier and changing habits. Evidence & Action: Poor sleep is scientifically linked to impaired cognition, weight gain, and a weakened immune system. The resulting habits include enforcing digital curfews, creating optimal sleep environments (cool, dark rooms), and using supplements like Magnesium Glycinate or Apigenin to improve sleep architecture. Sleep has become a science. From Oura Rings to Apple Watches, people measure deep sleep, REM phases, and HRV to score recovery. Singapore’s “always‑on” culture is driving a countertrend of digital curfews, ambient bedrooms, and magnesium‑based supplements that improve rest quality rather than just duration. As a result, Ashwagandha is gradually picking up page. Strategic Stress Management & Mental Fitness Stress is no longer seen as just a feeling but as a measurable physiological state, with many in Singapore tracking Heart Rate Variability (HRV) to monitor autonomic nervous system balance and recovery. In this high-pressure city, where chronic stress underpins numerous health issues, people are turning to mental fitness routines that include mindfulness meditation apps, box breathing, yoga, and nature immersion (“forest bathing”) in Singapore’s green spaces to improve HRV and overall well-being. This proactive mental wellness approach reflects Singapore’s growing focus on treating stress like a physical workout to enhance resilience and recovery in daily life. Personalized, Data‑Driven Fitness Singapore’s fitness trend is evolving beyond generic cardio to emphasize personalized, data-driven programs that enhance longevity and functional strength. Combining weight training, High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT), and performance tracking metrics like VO2 Max, this approach aligns with Singapore’s affluent and educated population’s shift from aesthetic goals to maintaining strength and mobility into old age. Wearable technology plays a key role by providing daily readiness scores based on sleep and recovery data, helping users optimize workout intensity and prevent overtraining, thereby supporting sustainable fitness and healthy aging. Top 2 Natural Extracts in High Demand Why These Trends Matter in Singapore Singapore’s educated, aging, and digitally connected population values evidence, standardization, and bioavailability. Consumers demand clinically backed extracts and formulations that deliver measurable results. The shift is holistic: mental fitness, metabolic balance, and longevity are just as important as aesthetic health. Key Health Shifts Shaping Singapore’s Wellness Future

Natural & Herbal Pain Relief

Natural & Herbal Pain Relief

Innovation Meets Tradition for Lasting Comfort Pain is a deeply personal experience extending beyond physical sensation; it signals injury or dysfunction and guides protective behavior. True pain management goes beyond symptom relief—it restores quality of life, enabling individuals to work, study, and actively participate in daily life. While complete elimination of pain may not always be possible, tailored natural pain relief strategies offer effective, safer, and long-term support. Pain signals arise from injury or inflammation, activating receptors and releasing biochemical mediators. Traditional medical systems like Ayurveda have long harnessed spices for their anti-inflammatory and therapeutic benefits. Among these, two ingredients stand out with extensive research and proven efficacy: turmeric-derived curcumin and Boswellia serrata extract. Arjuna Natural’s expertly crafted blend of BCM-95® and Bospure® presents a potent natural pain relief solution. BCM-95® – The Gold Standard Curcumin for Natural Pain ReliefCurcumin exhibits antioxidative, anti-inflammatory, and antiarthritic properties by modulating multiple biological pathways. BCM-95® (CURCUGREEN®), with over two decades of market presence and backed by 93 scientific publications, including 46 human clinical trials, integrates 95% curcuminoids and turmeric essential oil (Ar-turmerone). This blend preserves natural turmeric synergy, crosses the blood-brain barrier, and offers antioxidant capacity 3.5 times greater than regular curcumin. Uniquely bioavailable without synthetic enhancers, BCM-95® exemplifies the union of tradition and innovation in natural pain relief. Bospure®/ABAMAX® – Potent Boswellic Acid for Targeted Inflammation ControlBoswellia serrata’s anti-inflammatory efficacy stems mainly from its boswellic acids, especially 3-O-acetyl-11-keto-boswellic acid (AKBA). Standardized to 10% AKBA, Bospure® effectively relieves osteoarthritis and polyarthritis pain by inhibiting leukotrienes in the 5-LOX pathway, while minimizing pro-inflammatory beta boswellic acid. Clinically validated, Bospure® offers a safe, natural approach to inflammation-related pain. Clinical Validation: BCM-95® + Bospure® vs. Celecoxib NSAIDIn a 12-week randomized study with knee osteoarthritis patients, BCM-95® + Bospure® (350 mg + 150 mg) was compared with Celecoxib 100 mg. Both significantly reduced pain and improved joint function, but the natural combination yielded superior outcomes: Rhuleave-K®: Next-Gen Natural & Herbal Pain Relief FormulaRhuleave-K® combines turmeric, Boswellia, and sesame oil with patented SPEEDTECH® technology for enhanced bioactivity and rapid, targeted relief. It acts dually on inflammatory pathways: curcumin targets COX-2 to reduce prostaglandin E2, while Boswellia inhibits 5-LOX, reducing leukotriene B4, comprehensively managing symptoms and inflammation better than standard NSAIDs for joint health. Rhuleave-K vs. Acetaminophen: Clinical Efficacy and SafetyIn a trial with 86 acute musculoskeletal pain subjects, 1000 mg Rhuleave-K matched acetaminophen in pain relief (71.3% vs. 72.1% reduction over 6 hours). A 90-day high-dose safety study showed excellent tolerance, making Rhuleave-K ideal for both immediate and sustained natural pain relief. BCM-95® – Your Superpower for Healthy Ageing

Ageing is a natural process, but how we age is shaped by the choices we make every day. Healthy ageing is about maintaining physical strength, mental clarity, and overall well-being, so we can continue to lead active, fulfilling lives. It’s about sustaining energy, resilience, and balance, allowing us to meet life’s challenges with confidence at every stage. With the right support, we can preserve mobility, cognitive function, and vitality, ensuring that each year brings not just added time, but added quality. True healthy ageing empowers us to stay engaged, active, and independent, turning the natural progression of life into a journey of strength and capability. Much like superheroes, who grow stronger, sharper, and more resilient with every challenge, we too have the power to thrive as we age. While we may not leap across skyscrapers or wear capes, we can keep our bodies energized, our minds sharp, and our spirits vibrant no matter how many candles are on the cake. The World Health Organization (WHO) describes healthy ageing as “the process of developing and maintaining the functional ability that enables well-being in older age.” In other words, it’s about having the strength, mobility, and clarity to keep doing the things we love, on our own terms. Here’s the reality: our world is ageing faster than ever. By 2050, people over 60 will make up more than 20% of the global population, a milestone where older adults will outnumber younger ones for the first time in history. And in this new age, vitality will be the real superpower. People don’t just want more years—they want better ones. That’s why in markets like the U.S., healthy ageing supplements are outperforming the overall supplement market. Among natural solutions, curcumin, the golden compound in turmeric, shines brightest. Known for its powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, curcumin is celebrated worldwide. It’s no wonder curcumin is often linked with longevity and healthy ageing. Not all curcumin works the same. Standard curcumin has low bioavailability, meaning your body absorbs very little of it. That’s where BCM-95® steps in. Crafted from 100% turmeric, it blends curcumin with turmeric essential oils for superior absorption and effectiveness. This advanced formulation combines curcumin with turmeric essential oil, standardized to 45% Ar-turmerone, to create a patented synergy that’s approximately 700% more absorbable than conventional curcumin extracts. At the core of BCM-95®’s exceptional efficacy is its unique mechanism of action: BCM-95® at a glance And this is just the beginning. BCM-95® comes with an even wider range of unique features and clinically proven benefits, from enhanced bioavailability to broad-spectrum applications, making it one of the most advanced and trusted curcumin formulations worldwide. Ageing is inevitable, but how we age is in our hands. Each year can be more than a number; it can be a chance to grow stronger, sharper, and more resilient. Healthy ageing means choosing vitality, confidence, and joy at every stage of life. This is where BCM-95® steps in as your superpower. Backed by science and trusted worldwide, it provides the natural power of curcumin to support your body and mind through the years. With BCM-95®, you don’t just age, you evolve. You keep moving, keep thriving, and keep writing your story with strength.

Enhanced Bioavailability in Shoden® Ashwagandha

Enhanced Bioavailability in Shoden® Ashwagandha

Taken from the online Press Release of the latest study on Ashwagandha At 35% withanolide glycosides, Shoden® ashwagandha extract by Arjuna Naturals outperforms other commercial ashwagandha products in a clinical study Kerala, India — A new clinical study identified withanolide glycosides as the key drivers of superior bioavailability in ashwagandha (Withania somnifera) extracts. This marks the first direct evidence in humans that the type of withanolide—not just the total content —significantly influences absorption and efficacy. Shoden® ashwagandha extract, the innovation of nutraceutical pioneers Arjuna Natural Pvt., Ltd., demonstrated superior performance in uptake in the volunteer subjects. The randomized, open-label, crossover clinical study, led by Priyank Rathi, MD, was published in the science journal last July. It evaluated the bioavailability in 16 healthy human volunteers of four commercially available, standardized ashwagandha extracts with varying compositions, including: Shoden standardized to 35% Withania somnifera withanolide glycosides (WS-35), 10% (WS-10), 5% (WS-5), or 2.5% (WS-2.5). Each sample was standardized to deliver 185mg of total withanolides. Seventeen blood samples were collected over a 24-hour period after dosing. Plasma concentrations of withanolide A, withanoside IV, withaferin A, and total withanolides were quantified, and pharmacokinetic parameters—how the body metabolizes a substance over time—were calculated. Results of the study revealed striking differences in their pharmacokinetic profiles. Extracts rich in withanolide glycosides—particularly those derived from the plant—demonstrated markedly higher systemic exposure. With Shoden in the lead, these extracts showed longer half-lives, indicating prolonged circulation of active compounds in the body. New gold standard -“Clinical data now confirm that withanolide glycosides stand out not just for quantity but for quality, with higher bioavailable than other withanolide types,” reveals Benny Antony, PhD, Joint Managing Director of Arjuna Natural. “Our findings suggest that the strength of ashwagandha is in its withanolide profile, specifically the chemical nature of the withanolides—and not their total amount. This plays a critical role in determining the uptake and metabolism of ashwagandha extracts in the body for optimal effect. This study emphasized the importance of extract composition and the plant parts used.” Shoden® is a highly bioactive extract of ashwagandha, with an industry-leading 35% withanolide glycosides, the key active compounds in the plant. Derived from carefully chosen and validated ashwagandha sources, Arjuna employs a proprietary extraction process to deliver a potent holistic charge of the popular adaptogenic, even at a uniquely low dose of 60 mg. Also known as “Indian ginseng,” the botanical powerhouse has been used in Ayurvedic medicine for centuries as a “rasayana,” a rejuvenator, due to its scientifically validated capacity to enhance overall resilience and vitality and promote longevity and mental wellness. Ashwagandha is also noted for its antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and immunomodulatory properties. Yet Withania extracts available in the market differ considerably in their active compound profiles, analytical methods, plant parts used, manufacturing processes, and recommended dosages. These variables can potentially affect the absorption and therapeutic efficacy of the extracts. This study marks the latest milestone in Arjuna’s robust collection of 12 clinical studies of Shoden. They showcase Shoden’s positive role in relieving stress and anxiety and improving sleep quality. Research indicates its mechanisms of action include the ability to regulate the hypothalamus-pituitary-adrenal axis, reducing the stress hormone cortisol and increasing relaxing GABA neurotransmitters. One clinical study highlighting its immunomodulating benefits revealed natural improvements in immune cell markers. And toxicity studies have endorsed its safety. “Shoden outperformed other dominant formulations” “These findings have major implications for both consumers and supplement manufacturers. As ashwagandha continues to gain popularity for its adaptogenic, cognitive, and stress-relieving benefits, the current research underscores the need for more detailed labeling and standardization that goes beyond total withanolide content. Future clinical studies and product formulations should consider the specific withanolide profile—particularly the presence of glycosides—to deliver ashwagandha extracts with maximum efficacy and consistency,” concludes Antony. Shoden has been internationally recognized for the 23 patents attributed to its unique formulation and manufacturing process. It is available in three doses and in various supplement formats, including pills, capsules, and powders. Its low-dose capabilities allow for its seamless integration into functional foods and beverages. Arjuna exhibit at Vitafoods Asia 2025, Booth #H34 and also at SupplySide West, Booth #6517. Somin-On™ ashwagandha improves memory in adults with mild cognitive impairment

A NEW CLINICAL study of Somin-On™, an ashwagandha (Withania somnifera) withanolide extract standardized to Sominone, highlights its potential for improving memory and cognitive function in adults with mild cognitive impairment (MCI). Arjuna Natural will showcase Somin-On at Vitafoods Europe, Barcelona, 20-22nd May 2025, Booth 4J2. Somin-on is the newest addition to Arjuna Natural, Pvt. Ltd.’s prized portfolio of branded botanical formulations. Unique to this ashwagandha formulation is that it is standardized to NLT 2% content Sominone (established via HPLC) and is designed to focus primarily on enhancing specific cognitive functions, such as attention and memory retention. Plant-powered cognitive support. “Our new ashwagandha formulation was developed in direct response to the rising concerns of cognitive decline among today’s aging population,” exclaims Benny Antony, PhD, Joint Managing Director of Arjuna Natural. “This group is actively seeking natural solutions to maintain mental clarityand focus, and help prevent any potential onset of dementia as its members age. Somin-On offers a promising, safe, and natural approach for supporting brain function helping older adults stay sharp and mentally agile.” MCI is a condition where individuals experience noticeable memory and cognition difficulties, although not yet severe enough to interfere with daily life. Globally, some 16% of people older than 70 years experience some type of MCI. However, research has shown that approximately 50% of people diagnosed with MCI will develop Alzheimer’s disease within 5 years. MCI is also considered an early indicator of other forms of dementia. “There currently is no approved standard oftreatment available for MCI in the allopathic medical world,” informs Antony. “Somin-On is our answer to this unmet need and to help address the issue ofcognitive decline using natural agents.” Led by Hari Prakash Rai, PhD, this randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial was published in the Journal of Psychopharmacology in March 2025 and enrolled 40 adults with MCI. Conducted at the Hi-Tech Hospital and Trauma Center, Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh, India, the participants were divided into two groups: one received 250mg of Somin-On daily, while the other received a placebo over a period of 60 days, with assessments conducted at 30 and 60 days. Fuel for focusThe study subjects taking Somin-On showed significant improvements in multiple areas of cognitive function compared to the placebo. Improvements were observed in immediate memory, general memory, and working memory, as assessed by the Wechsler Memory Scale-III (WMS-III). Somin-On clearly outperformed the placebo in other mental parameters. Visuospatial processing was improved significantly between days 30 and 60 in the Somin-On group, according to scores of theShepard Mental Rotation Test. Moreover, Somin-On supplementation was associated with significant improvement in additional memory assessments, including the Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA) and Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE), which examines various memory functions, including repeating listsof words, arithmetic, language use, and comprehension, as well as basic motor skills. The results suggest a potential role for Somin-On in enhancing attention, accelerating information processing, and improving overall cognitive performance, while reducing cognitive impairment. “Sominone, derived from Withania somnifera, is identified as the main active metabolite responsible for these specific effects,” explains Antony. “Ashwagandha is a traditional Ayurvedic herb thathas been widely used for centuries to manage stress and anxiety, and cognitive support function. This compound has been identified and extensively analyzed for its potential benefits in enhancing memory and cognitive functions.” Sominone has been shown to repair nerve cells and neural connections in rat brain cells damaged by amyloid-beta, a plaque-forming protein known to damage brain cells when it builds up in the brain. In animal models, it has been shown to enhance neurite outgrowth and improve spatial memory as well as nerve cell growth and repair, leading to cognitive enhancement. Moreover, the ashwagandha extract is known to reduce oxidative stress and mitochondrial dysfunction, contributing to its neuroprotective and anti-degenerative properties. Somin-On was crafted as a sequel to Arjuna’s flagship ashwagandha extract, Shoden. Standardized to 35% withanolide glycosides, Shoden is designed to alleviate stress and anxiety, improve sleep quality, and is supported by multiple clinical studies.Taken from the magazine – Innovation in Food Technology | Issue I 07, May 2025
